Set up in September 2005 by Ann and Ian Keen, Hammock Wines is a small fine wine importer based near Easingwold, North Yorkshire, specialising in wines from the Southern Rhône.

Ann and Ian spent several years travelling around the Southern Rhône getting to know the wines and the producers before making the difficult decision on which wines to import. Their list includes wines from some of the best small, family-owned vineyards in the Southern Rhône, for example Domaine des Anges, Domaine des Escaravailles, Chateau St Estève d'Uchaux, Domaine les Teyssonnières and Domaine Lafond Roc-Épine. Here the vignerons are passionate about maintaining their independence, their terroir and their vine-stocks and produce some truly high quality wines – the grapes are all hand-harvested and the use of chemical products in the wine making process is kept to an absolute minimum.

All wines are bought direct from the producers and shipped to a bonded warehouse where they are stored in a controlled environment and protected from harmful fluctuations in temperature so that they can be delivered to you direct from the grower in the best condition at the best prices.
